A Ritual for Your Dream Pieces

At Saint Blanc, we believe that caring for your garments is an extension of the care you give yourself. Our pieces are crafted to be your sanctuary of comfort, designed with exclusive illustrations, meticulous embroidery, and silhouettes that celebrate your femininity.

The secret to ensuring that the magic of your luxury pajamas and loungewear lasts over time, maintaining their original softness and vibrant colors, lies in the gentleness with which you treat them. Turn laundry day into a little preservation ritual by following these essential steps:

1. The First Step: Caring from the Inside Out

Before your garments touch the water, the most important step is to prepare them properly. Turn them inside out and always wash them inside out. This simple action acts as a protective shield: it prevents our botanical illustrations, fairy tale patterns, and delicate embroidery threads from coming into direct contact with the washing machine drum or other surfaces. By washing them inside out, you ensure that the natural wear and tear of washing occurs on the inside of the garment, keeping the visible side as flawless, vibrant, and detailed as the day you took it out of its box.

2. Zero Friction: An Exclusive "Spa" for Your Pajamas

Your loungewear needs its own space. Avoid washing your pajamas with heavy garments or rough textures at all costs, such as jeans, thick towels, or jackets. Metal elements such as open zippers, hooks, hard buttons, or Velcro are the greatest enemies of softness, as they can snag fibers, cause pilling, or create irreparable tears.

Saint Blanc Tip: Group your loads by delicacy level. If you are going to use the washing machine on a gentle cycle, we recommend placing your pajamas in mesh laundry bags; this will create an extra layer of protection against any unwanted rubbing during the cycle.

3. Natural Drying: Let the Breeze Work Its Magic

Extreme heat is the main cause of premature aging in textile fibers. Therefore, always avoid using the dryer. High temperatures can not only shrink your favorite pieces and alter the perfect fit of their silhouette, but also "toast" the threads, stripping them of their natural drape and softness. The breeze is, without a doubt, your best ally. When taking your garments out of the wash, shake them gently to restore their shape and always hang them in the shade. Prolonged, direct exposure to sunlight can fade those beautiful pastel and dusty tones we love so much at Saint Blanc. For heavier garments or embroidered sweatshirts, prefer drying them flat (on a clean towel) to prevent the weight of the water from stretching the fabric.

4. The Final Touch: The Sanctuary of Your Closet

Care continues even when you are not wearing them. When putting them away, take a moment to smooth them with your hands and fold them with care, avoiding deep creases that could weaken the prints over time. Keep your pieces in a drawer or shelf that is cool and dry, completely away from moisture and direct sunlight that may filter through the windows.

Saint Blanc Tip: To enhance the experience of wearing them, you can place small sachets of dried lavender or cedar balls in your drawers. This will not only naturally repel moths, but also perfume your pajamas with a relaxing scent that will prepare you for a truly enchanted night of rest. (Remember to avoid applying perfumes or body lotions directly to the fabrics to prevent stains).

Special Care: The Magic of Peach Cotton

Our iconic Peach Cotton is deeply loved in the Saint Blanc universe for that unmistakable, velvety, and ultra-soft touch that envelops you in a warm embrace at the end of the day. That "peach skin" texture is achieved through a delicate process on the fibers, and to keep it intact collection after collection, it requires specific care:

1. The Perfect Bath: Always Cold and Gentle

Water temperature is crucial for this textile base. Always use a gentle cycle in your washing machine with cold water (or wash it by hand if you prefer an even more traditional method of care). Hot water is the greatest enemy of this texture, as it can weaken and wear down the microfibers that give it that soft and soothing finish, making the fabric stiffer and duller over time.

2. Choosing the Soap: Liquid Formulas and the Fabric Softener Myth

For cleaning, always prefer mild, pH-neutral liquid soaps. Powder detergents may contain abrasive particles that do not dissolve well in cold water and create friction against the "peach skin." Of course, say a resounding no to bleaches or products containing chlorine. A vital detail: minimize or eliminate the use of commercial fabric softeners. Although it may seem contradictory, traditional fabric softeners coat fabrics with a layer of wax and chemicals that, with repeated washes, accumulates and flattens the microfibers of Peach Cotton. This eventually dulls its velvety texture and reduces the garment's breathability.

Saint Blanc Tip: If you want an extra touch of natural softness and to remove any soap residue, you can add half a cup of white vinegar to the fabric softener compartment of your washing machine. Don't worry, the smell disappears completely during drying and your pajamas will be incredibly soft!

3. The Art of Smoothing: Ironing with Protection

Peach Cotton does not usually wrinkle deeply if hung correctly, but if you want a flawless finish and decide to use the iron, do so always on the reverse side and at a medium temperature. Ironing directly on the right side can create an unwanted "shiny" effect on the velvety finish. If your pajamas include our characteristic detailed embroidery, they require an extra shield: place a clean cotton napkin or cloth between the iron and the embroidery. This will protect the three-dimensional threads from direct heat, preventing them from burning, flattening, or losing their magical relief.

Special Care: The Silk Ritual

Silk is, par excellence, the ultimate expression of luxury, femininity, and fluidity in the world of loungewear. Being an extremely noble natural fiber, it requires artisanal and very dedicated care. Think of caring for your silk pajamas not as a chore, but as a small act of love toward a textile jewel.

1. Washing: An Exclusive Hand Spa

For silk, the washing machine is out of the question. We recommend washing exclusively by hand. Fill a container with completely cold water and add a few drops of special soap formulated for very delicate garments. If you don't have one on hand, an excellent substitute is using a neutral baby shampoo; remember that silk, like our hair, is a natural protein fiber and this type of soap will clean it without stripping it of its natural oils and shine.

2. Zero Stress: The Towel Embrace

When silk is wet, it is at its most vulnerable. Never twist or squeeze it, nor wring it to remove the water, as this will break the fibers and ruin its fluid drape forever. To remove excess moisture, apply the "hug" technique: spread your pajamas over a large, clean towel, roll it gently as if it were a cylinder, and press lightly so the towel absorbs the water.

3. Drying: Horizontal Rest and Shade

The weight of the water can deform the garment if hung from hooks or clips. Therefore, always spread it out horizontally on a flat surface (such as a mesh drying rack or a dry towel). Make sure to do it strictly in the shade. Direct sunlight acts as a relentless bleach that weakens the internal structure of the silk and immediately fades the beautiful and vibrant colors of our prints.

4. Ironing: The Magical Power of Steam

Silk prefers steam. If you have a handheld steamer, it will be the best and safest investment to keep your silk garments flawless. If you do not have a steamer and must use a traditional iron, make sure to iron the garment always on the reverse side, when the fabric is still slightly damp, and using exclusively the lowest temperature on your iron (it usually comes marked as a setting for "silk" or "delicates"). Avoid using the iron's water spray function, as it can leave stains or water marks.

5. Dressing Care: Attention to Detail

The delicacy of silk is reflected in how fine its threads are, which are prone to snagging if we are not careful. Be careful with friction before and during use. We advise you to remove rings with stones, rigid bracelets, watches, or be careful with jagged nails when putting on or taking off your pajamas. Let putting on your silk pajamas be the last step of your nighttime routine, after applying your lotions (waiting for them to absorb) and taking off all your jewelry.
